Coast Guard safety course at Rocky Fork Lake
Boating Skills and Seamanship Class to be presented by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 6-10 Hillsboro.
The class is being hosted by Rocky Fork Marine from 9-12 each Saturday for six weeks, starting July 7. There is a cost of $25 for the required book.
Rocky Fork Marine is located on the east shore of Rocky Fork Lake (on the dam side of the lake) if your coming by boat, and 6452 Lucas Lane, Hillsboro if you are coming by land.
The instructors for this course are Robert Clancy, Vice Flotilla Commander Flotilla 6-10, Member Training Officer, Crew Qualified USCG Aux- 10 years of service and LaRue Turner, Flotilla Commander Flotilla 6-10, Coxswain Qualified USCG Aux- 20 years of service.
The course is recommended for new boat owners and experienced boaters alike. There is always something new to learn and the course is packed full of critical operating and safety information.
