Do you enjoy dealing with people and making their day? If so, consider volunteering at the Pharmacy and Gift Shop in Clinton Memorial Hospital. CMH Regional Health System Volunteer Services has several time opportunities available.
CMH is looking for someone with good people skills, who is comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions and enjoys filling balloons with helium! The candidate will need to become proficient in operating the computerized point of sale register system.
If this sounds good, please call Carol Sebert (382-9224) or Peggy Bennett (283-9722).
Sebert is manager of Volunteer Services at CMH and Bennett operates the gift shop.
The CMH Pharmacy and Gift Shop is located on the ground floor in the atrium of the hospital. The patient audience for the pharmacy is those being discharged from any hospital based service—after outpatient surgery, an inpatient stay or an emergency visit.
The pharmacy, which accepts many insurance plans, also serves CMH employees, volunteers and their covered dependents with CMH and other prescription plans. Take your medical plan card to the pharmacy when you have a prescription to fill.
The gift shop offers the traditional wares of hospital gift shops such as cards, fresh flowers and balloons along with personal accessories such as jewelry, handbags and scarves. There are candles and other home decor items available as well as stuffed animals and gifts for new babies.
The gift shop sells coffee, soft drinks, cold sandwiches and salads along with a variety of snacks and candy. There is a small dining area in the gift shop for patrons to relax and enjoy a beverage or snack.
The CMH Pharmacy and Gift shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted and employees have the option of utilizing payroll deduction.

In addition to an outpatient pharmacy, the hospital has a secure full-service in-house pharmacy for inpatients and same day surgery patients with a registered pharmacist available at least 16 hours per day (and for off hours, a pharmacist is on call), seven days a week.
The pharmacy has an automated medication process to improve wait times for medications, improve security, storage and overall medication safety.
