Clinton Memorial Hospital Pharmacy and Gift Shop
schedules open house Nov. 10; silent auction Nov. 29-30
WILMINGTON – The staff and volunteers of the Clinton Memorial Hospital Pharmacy and Gift Shop are officially beginning the
holiday season by hosting an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We will showcase our holiday merchandise and will serve hot Wassail and various snacks,” says Peggy Bennett, who manages the gift shop. “There will be opportunities to register for prizes that will be awarded throughout the day.”
The gift shop is also sponsoring a holiday silent auction on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 29 and 30. Auction items have been donated by local businesses and residents, Bennett said.
The gift shop offers the traditional wares of hospital gift shops such as cards, fresh flowers and balloons along with personal
accessories such as jewelry, handbags and scarves. There are candles and other home decor items available as well as stuffed animals and gifts for new babies. The gift shop sells coffee, soft drinks, cold sandwiches and salads along with a variety of snacks and candy.
There is a small dining area in the gift shop for patrons to relax and enjoy a beverage or snack.
The target audience for the pharmacy is those being discharged from any hospital based service—after outpatient surgery, an inpatient stay or an emergency visit. The pharmacy, which accepts many insurance plans, also serves CMH employees, volunteers and their covered dependents with CMH and other prescription plans.
