Cincinnati Zoo visiting Hillsboro First UMC's final Family Faith 'n Fun Night this Wednesday
The Cincinnati Zoo is bringing their “Wildlife Comes to You” program to the final Family Faith ‘n Fun Night of the summer on Aug. 8 at Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6 p.m.. Kids and parents will get a chance to meet some of the zoo’s animal friends while enjoying a time of fellowship.
While the guest list of animals is subject to change, the church has received RSVPs from a snake, a gigantic owl, an armadillo and an alligator. Barring being grounded for not eating their vegetables or any last-minute engagements in the busy schedules of these zoo animals, the church is excited to meet these friends.
The visit by the Cincinnati Zoo is the final event of the summer-long “Family Fun Night.” Every Wednesday during the summer, the church had dinner, an adult Bible study, fun and learning for kids up to grade 5 and the weekly meeting of the church youth group (grades 6-12). This was the church's version of Vacation Bible School and was created as a way for the entire family to spend time in fellowship and worship.
Family Faith ‘n Fun night is open to the entire community, and all are welcome. Come and enjoy dinner and a great time with the animals of the Cincinnati Zoo. This is a great way to end the summer, and you won’t want to miss it. Family Night is going to be a zoo!
