March 2011
Mark Twain is quoted as saying, "Everyone talks about the weather but no one does anything about it." We certainly can talk about the crazy weather we have been having for the past several weeks! Let's hope if March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb.
Our Knit Together group continues to meet regardless of the weather every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Bring whatever project you are working on and join us for conversation and knitting. Beginners are welcome.
Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension Office will be here with her display "Nutrition Celebration" on Monday March 7 from 3-5 p.m. and
on Thursday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Our teen book club, SPARX, will meet on Thursday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m.
This month's selection is "Thirteen to Life" by Shannon Delany. The group is always looking for new members, so feel free to join them for some lively discussion and pizza.
We hope you will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with us on Thursday, March 17. Wear your green and join us for some Irish treats. Our adult book group, RRR meets on March 17 at 1:30 p.m., as well.
We have been having a lot of fun during our story times here at the Leesburg Library. This month¹s themes include Mardi Gras, Coming Home to Roost, St. Patric's Day, Jump for Joy and The Little Red Hen. Our story times are held on Thursdays at 10 a.m. for Wee Ones (6-36 months) and at 10:30 a.m. for Tater Tots (3-5 years). We look forward to you and your little ones joining us during the month of March.
The staff at the Leesburg Library hopes you will take some time this month to stop in and visit with us, talk about the weather and check out some great books. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.
