Candle-lite, Midmark to host community health fair

Candle-lite and Midmark will host a community health fair Thursday, July 25 from 1-4 p.m. at Highland County North Joint Fire/EMS, 200 South St., Leesburg.

Visit health vendors and county resources, participate in health screenings and Zumba, and enjoy giveaways, prizes and more.

A Hoxworth blood drive will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., with donors receiving a Cincinnati Reds Hawaiian shirt. To schedule your appointment, call (513) 451-0910.

The event will also include free kids activities, including a firehouse water day from 1-3 p.m., back-to-school backpacks, face painting and games.

Concessions from the Leesburg Trinity Church Kenya Missions Team and Tony’s Hawaiian Ice will be available starting at 1 p.m. Music will be provided by Island Brothers Productions.

Highland Humane Society will be on site with animals available for adoption. Bring your pet donations to enter for prizes. Wish list items include dog and cat food or treats, cat litter, bleach, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, blue Dawn dish soap, paper towels, disinfectant wipes and copy paper.
