CAC of Pike County to host ‘Taking Egos Out of the Workplace: Learn How to Build Positive Teams’
The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated Leadership Development Session, "Taking Egos Out of the Workplace: Learn How to Build Positive Teams."
In partnership with The Ohio State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), this engaging class is scheduled to take place Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 1-4 p.m. at the Auditorium in the Research Building located at 1862 Shyville Road in Piketon.
This class will explore the common characteristics of Ego-driven challenges that can arise in the workplace and on how team members perceive situations. Participants will gain valuable insights into recognizing when a team member (and oneself) is in the midst of an ego-driven challenge. The session aims to empower attendees with the knowledge to navigate and mitigate workplace conflicts caused by ego-driven dynamics.
In addition to examining the causes of ego-driven "drama," the class will equip participants with simple yet effective tools, techniques, and resources to disengage the ego and refocus the mind on the reality of the situation. The interactive nature of the class encourages all attendees to actively discuss real-life scenarios related to their experiences with ego-driven challenges fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
This leadership development class is open to all and comes with no registration fee. However, due to limited space, registration is required. To secure a spot in the class, interested individuals are required to register by contacting Adam Days at (740) 289-2371 or via email at adays@pikecac.org.
