Blue Knights fund Christmas care packages through Support Our Troops of Highland County
The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Ohio Chapter XX, which includes members from both the Hillsboro Police Department and the Highland County Sheriff's Office, is giving back to the community with a donation of $1,365.37 to Support Our Troops of Highland County (SOTOHC).
SOTOHC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2004.
It's mission is to have been constructed as the focal point of your Highland County troops and it's intent is to ensure that awareness, support and information is readily available to our local military personnel, their families and our community.
This most generous donation from the Blue Knights, Ohio Chapter XX, has completely financed the 2012 annual Christmas Care Package campaign, one of which we provide to our local "Hometown Heroes" each year during the holiday season.

Blue Knights Ohio Chapter XX President Jon Salyer of the Hillsboro Police Department stated that "the decision to donate the money to Support Our Troops was a unanimous decision by the members, for all {SOTOHC} you do for our troops that are defending our freedom, and to help continue letting them know they have our community's support."
"This donation couldn't have come in at better time for us, the Highland County Fair week is usually the beginning of the largest programs that we host each year, the Christmas Care-Packs" said SOTOHC Vice-President Claudette Greene.
SOTOHC President Stephanie Roland added, "The Blue Knights have secured that our troops that are located in combat zones and also those that are stationed at posts world-wide will definitely be receiving at least two or three, and maybe even more special packages this Christmas, and that, for us, is a blessing to be able to provide to them. Words can't express my true gratitude to these fine men who voluntarily acknowledged our organization and eagerly showed this tremendous support."
