Ohio State Highway Patrol releases OVI checkpoint results from City of Norwood

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Norwood Police Department, the Hamilton County OVI Task Force and the Ohio Department of Transportation conducted an OVI checkpoint on Montgomery Road, in the City of Norwood, in Hamilton County on June 16 from 9-11 p.m.
A total of 399 vehicles were checked, with 10 vehicles being diverted for suspicion of OVI. Two drivers were allegedly determined to be under the influence and arrested for OVI, with an additional arrest for felony drugs.
In addition to the actual checkpoint officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m.
Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
