Ohio State Highway Patrol releases OVI checkpoint results from Butler County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Butler County OVI Task Force, Trenton Police Department, Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted an OVI checkpoint on state Route 73 near milepost 17 in Lemon Township, Butler County, on June 23 from 7-10 p.m.
A total of 727 vehicles were checked. One driver was determined to allegedly be under the influence and arrested for OVI and an active warrant, with an additional driver arrested for multiple outstanding warrants.
In addition to the actual checkpoint, officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m.
Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
