William Harlan Ursell, 64, of Highland, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1946 in Highland, the son of the late William M. and Fern Rybolt Ursell.
Mr. Ursell had worked for the Buckeye Molding Company and later the Hutamaki Company for over 40 years. He attended the Leesburg Church of Christ. He was a member of the country band “The Country Legends” and played the Steel Guitar. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife, Bette Jean Wilkin Ursell, whom he had married on Nov. 20, 1970 in Leesburg; two children, Andrea (Brian) Stanley of Hillsboro and Brian Ursell of Columbus; one grandson, Mason Stanley of Hillsboro; and three sisters, Pauline (Jim) Trefz of Greenfield, Wahneta Lytle of Greenfield, and Sandra (Chet) Litler of Highland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Isabel Gall, Barbara Hanes, Martha Tener and Loretta Riley, and one brother, Henry “Bud” Ursell.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 at the Leesburg Church of Christ. Steve Wetterhan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Leesburg Church of Christ.
