Wanda L. Jinks, 75, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1935 in Washington C.H., the daughter of the late Charles and Geneva (Jones) Dawes.
She was retired from the Greenfield Exempted Village Schools after 20 years serving as a cook. She was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Glenna Kae Cash of Hillsboro; two stepdaughters, Carla Ann (Michael) Gillenwater of Lynchburg and Jan Wise and Hillsboro; grandchildren Megan (Rick) Crabtree of Hillsboro and Mindy Jenkins of Greenfield; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Gross, Aidan Gross, and Tristin Jenkins; two brothers, Delbert (Ivetta) Dawes of Georgetown and Charles Dawes of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and special boys Evan and R.G. McGlone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Jinks on June 25, 1975; three brothers, Bobby, Kenneth, and Dale Dawes; and special sister-in-law Roianne Dawes.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds and Pastor Denny Dawes officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
