Virginia B. Finnegan, 92, of Hillsboro, formerly of Greenfield, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at Highland House in Hillsboro.
She was born Nov. 10, 1917 in New Vienna, Ohio, the daughter of the late Owen and Margery (Dodds) Carl.
She was a graduate of Leesburg High School and a member of St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Finnegan, who died July 16, 1990.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlene Marshall of West Chester, Ohio; a son, Garry Finnegan, of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.;  four grandchildren, Ken and Rob Marshall, Kimberly Dunn, and Kelly Gulley; and six great-grandchildren, Cole and Jordan Marshall, Tiffany and Steven Swartz, and Megan and Timothy Dunn.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield. The Rev. Fr. Mike Paranuik will serve as celebrant. Burial will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati. Friends may call at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home in Greenfield 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary service at 8 p.m.
