Verna Mae Mullins, 73, of Midland, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash.
She was born Jan. 21, 1938 in Pineville, Ky., the daughter of the late Earl and Lucy Roark Saylor.
Mrs. Mullins had worked for several years as a glass inspector for the Allen Company in Blanchester. She was a member of the Glass and Steel Workers Union.
She is survived by her husband, Foster Mullins, whom she had married on July 16, 1955 in Maysville, Ky.; two daughters, Brenda Carol (Loren) Lowe of Cassville, Mo. and Tammy (Steve) Kratzer of Midland; 11 grandchildren, Misty Nicole (Jerry) Bray of Midland, Brian (Jessica) Kratzer of Charleston, S.C., Jillyn Criss of Sydney, Ohio, Jerry (Mary) Lowe of Forsythe, Mo., Sherri Lowe of Monet, Mo., Stacy (Mandy) Lowe of Wheaton, Mo., Tracy (Jim Stanposki) Lowe of Purdy, Mo., Aaron (Katy) Lowe of Aurora, Mo., Loren Lowe of Cassville, Mo., Amanda (Justin) Bowen of Cassville, Mo., and Cody Lowe of Cassville, Mo.; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Nina (Lonnie) Speed of Siloam Springs, Ark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Saylor, and three sisters, Shelby Saylor, Ann Botkins and Kathryn Saylor.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Steve Bell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Westboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
