     Thelma Gladys May, 92, of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning, June 20, 2010 at the Heartland of Hillsboro.
     She was born June 12, 1918 in Adams County, the daughter of the late Raymond Thomas and Anna Blanche Dalton Whitely.
     She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Donnie Everetts of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, Donita Everetts, Linda (Chuck) Chaney and Cheryl Ison, all of Hillsboro; two great-granddaughters, Michaela Nichole Chaney and Kyah Liangni Chaney of Hillsboro; and two sisters, Nellie Watkins of Greenfield and Ruth (Earl) Cross of Bainbridge.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. May; four brothers, Edward, Raymond, George and Willie Whitely; and three sisters, Mary Barber, Beulah Keaton and Beatrice Keaton.
     Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23rd at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Drive, (15120=Lbx #), Chicago, IL 60693.
