Stephen L. Franklin, 57, of Leesburg, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at his residence.  
He was born June 29, 1952 in Hillsboro, the son of Ralph and Betty Brooks Franklin. 
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Hillsboro Eagles Aerie #1161.  
He is survived by his wife Janice “J-Lynn” Cundiff Franklin; mother Betty Franklin of Hillsboro; two daughters, Lindsey (Rodney) Franklin of Mt. Orab, and Fawn (Justin) Gibson of Hamersville; son Zach (Crystal) Hamm of Sinking Spring; step-son Cody (Beth) Butler of Montana; six grandchildren, Sean, Emma, Stephen, Clarissa, Trinity, and Kathryn; and one brother, Doug (Mary Kay) Franklin of Georgia.  
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Franklin.   
There will be a gathering of family and friends with a carry-in dinner from 2-4 p.m. at the Hillsboro Eagles on Saturday, Jan. 16.
