After marriage, she transferred her membership to the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in many things.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William J. (Bill) Redkey, who died in 1990; four brothers, Paul, James, Dwight and John Lucas; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Lucas all of Greenfield.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Ford Halter; one grandson, William Jacob Halter of Lebanon; three sisters-in-law, Hilda Lucas, Irene Lucas and Anna Lou Lucas, all of Greenfield; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of her life at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church in Robison Hall on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 4 p.m. with Rev. John Cramton, Sara's nephew, officiating. Following services, friends and family are invited to stay for a time of food and fellowship.
