Ross Vernon Gordon, 34, of Leesburg, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at Greenfield Area Medical Center.

He was born March 29, 1976 in Chillicothe, the son of Robert Von and Nancy (Beatty) Gordon.

He had been employed at ABX Air, Wilmington. He was a 1994 graduate of McClain High School. He was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church and had attended Leesburg United Methodist Church, where he was involved with church activities. He was the district representative of Leesburg soccer and was an active coach.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Harold Lytle of Leesburg; his children, Kayla Eva-Elaine Gordon, Sarah Elizabeth Gordon, and Brayden Ryan Gordon; his sister, Patricia Elizabeth Gordon-Cox, of Hawaii; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and special friends Lisa Tolle and Rose Everhart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rovert Von Gordon.

Services were held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Pastors Tom Knauff and Mary Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family at Fifth-Third Bank,
Greenfield.
