Rosalie Crabill, 72, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman.

She was born July 27, 1938 in Adams County, the daughter of the late Fay and Mickey Faye (Miranda) First. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Winn on Nov.  8, 1983; a granddaughter, Stacey Renee Ballein; and a sister, Nigel Evans.

Rosalie is survived by special friend, Donald Ballein; two daughters, Karen (Steve) Davis of Lynchburg and Connie Sue Winn (Scott Runyon) of Hillsboro; one son, William Thomas (Debbie) Winn of West Union; three special sons, Darrell Ballein of Wilmington, Donald Ballein, Jr. of Hillsboro, and Danny Ballein of Winchester; three special daughters, Patricia Caplinger of Winchester, Lori Valley of Cincinnati, and Melissa Surdenik of New Vienna; eight grandchildren; a host of special grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov.11, 2010 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. 

Burial will follow in the West Union IOOF Cemetery. 

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
