Ronald Lee Dick

Ronald Lee Dick, 84, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025. 

He was born April 29, 1940 in Highland County, to Orville Dick and Delsie Agnes Stethem.

Ronald was a steadfast husband, father, grandfather and a faithful servant of Christ. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1968 and lived his life with his faith as the foundation of his strength. He loved and cared for his family and friends and served those around him. A member of the Bible Baptist Church in Hillsboro, he also attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Marysville many years ago. After retirement, Ronald returned to Marysville to be with his family where he attended Bible Baptist Church in Marysville.

Ronald was a retired associate of General Motors, Fisher Body Plant in Columbus, where he worked for over 30 years. He was a graduate of McClain High School in Greenfield. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Part of his fondness for the outdoors, he enjoyed mushroom hunting, making maple syrup and gardening. His bounty included grapes and many fruit trees.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline (Scott) Geyer of Marysville, Ron Dixon (Candy) of Richwood and Renee Thompson of Florida; his grandchildren, Jason Geyer, Jordan (Amie) Geyer, Kevin (Julie) Dixon, LeAnne Dixon and Kyle Dixon; his great-grandchildren, Bryant, Grant, Gage, Gibson, Knox, John and Axel; his brother, Larry Dick of Hillsboro; and many nieces and nephews, who find comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord.

He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Charlie Dick, Norma Yoakum, Diane Kibler, Harold Dick and Rosetta Morris. 

A celebration of life and faith memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1 at Bible Baptist Church, 16435 Square Drive, Marysville, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Jeremy Stout will officiate, and a luncheon will follow the service at the church. A private family burial at Oakdale Cemetery will take place later.

We rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Christ and the hope of seeing him again one day. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7 KJV.

Memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Church bus ministry.
