Ronald L. "Buck" Young, 61, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
He was born July 3, 1949 in Greenfield, the son of Ronald E. and Mildred (Snodgrass) Young.
He was employed at the U.S. Shoe Corp. of Chillicothe, Greenfield, and Ripley until their closing. He was a 1967 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a member of the F.O.E. #1325, VFW Post 4736, and American Legion Post 14. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also enjoyed going to and staying at Myrtle Beach.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Young of Greenfield; a daughter, Renee Evans of Circleville; a son, Ronald L. Young, Jr., of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren, Mystry, Madeline, Kassidi, Joseph, Tyler, Adrinna, Payton, Paige, Preston, and Julia; two sisters, Rita (Mike) Young-Roark of Grove City and Linda A. Smith of Greenfield; two nieces, Amy Asbury and Elecia Mace; a nephew, Michael Roark; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by a great nephew, Jeremy Mays; and by his father, Ronald E. Young.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery in New Petersburg. A visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, with Eagles services to begin at 2 p.m.
