Roger L. "Doc" Sever, 68, of Greenfield, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his home.
He was born Nov. 5, 1941 in Frankfort, Ohio, the son of the late Charles John and Helen L. (Bowdie) Sever.
He was retired from McMullen Trucking of Greenfield, where he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Beatty) Sever; two sons, Jeff (Sheryl) Sever of Frankfort and Tony (Linda) Sever of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Amanda, Zach, and Todd; two step-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kirstie; four sisters, Carol (Jack) Shepler of Circleville, Linda (John) Evans of Washington C.H., Janet Sexton of Washington C.H., and Melody (Roger Reed) of Washington C.H.; seven brothers, Richard (Karen) Sever of Columbus, Russell (Aileen) Sever of Chillicothe, Ronald (Barbara) Sever of Washington C.H., Rodney Sever of Washington C.H., Raymond (Brenda) Sever of Washington C.H., Randy (Kim) Sever of Washington C.H., and Robin (Kay) Sever of Washington C.H.; an uncle, James Sever of Washington C.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Dennis Brewer officiating. A visitation was held noon-2 p.m. Saturday. There was no burial following the funeral service.
