Robert E. “Bob” Norris, 66, of New Vienna, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2011 in New Vienna.

He was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Wyoming, Ky., a son of the late Charles Herbert Norris and Shella (McIlvaine) Norris of Hillsboro.

He was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Tony Norris and his wife Robin of Washington Court House and Nick Norris of Kentucky; a step-son, Chris Brewer of New Vienna; a very special friend, Robin Rinehart of New Vienna; five grandchildren, Megan (Pete) Thompson, Nicole Norris, Seth (Sara) Twarek, Tyler Brewer and Brent (Shelby) Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Madalynn Twarek, Alexis Twarek and LoRaa Brewer; a sister, Betty (Chuck) Rhoads of Leesburg; a brother, John Norris of New Vienna; two nephews, Mike Rhoads and James Norris; and six nieces, Tammy Norris, Beverly Sue, Tracy Lopez, Susan Jones, Bridget Countryman and Shelly Allen.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Lois Jean (Mosley) Norris, who passed away June 21, 2009; his former wife, Carolyn Norris; two brothers, James Norris and Charles H. “Red” Norris; a sister, Margaret Ann Norris; a step-daughter, Lisa Kay Preston; a nephew, David Norris; and a niece, Debbie Kim.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Rev. Roger Damron will officiate. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
