Richard King, 99, of Maineville, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash Inpatient Care Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Brown County, the son of the late Earl and Edith (Dryden) King.
He had been a member of the Cherry Fork Methodist Church and was a retired farmer and carpenter.
He is survived by three children, Linda Vance and her husband Charles of Maineville, with whom he made his home, Nancy Skinner and her husband Jake of New Vienna, and Dick King and his wife Joan of Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Tadlock of Wilmington; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Galbraith of Florence, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen Grace King, who passed away Sept. 26, 2004; a step-son, Robert Tadlock; a son-in-law, Drexel Vance; an infant grandson; several brothers; and a sister. 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Harold Braley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
