     Peggy R. Hamilton, 86, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Highland District Hospital.
     She was born March 12, 1924 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Albert W. and Mildred R. (White) Lucas.
     She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bits & Pieces Quilt Club, Country Quilters, New Petersburg Social Civic Club, American Legion Post 14, Amvets Post 61, Farmers Union, and the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield; a charter member of F.O.E. #1325 Auxiliary; and a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association.
     She is survived by two sons, Robert (Brenda) Hamilton of Leesburg and Oscar M. "Butch" (Marsha) Hamilton of Leesburg; four grandchildren, Lisa Cannon of Leesburg, Robert Hamilton of Hillsboro, Vanessa Cryder of Chillicothe, and Heather Ritchie of Greenfield; five great-grandchildren, Kristine Cannon, Dalton Cryder, Kurt Hamilton, Samuel Hamilton, and Sydney Hamilton; a sister, Linda (Rick) Mustard, of Wilmington; four sisters-in-law, Wanda Lucas of Wilmington, Delores Lucas of Dayton, Doris Lucas of Greenfield, and Jean Lucas of Dallas, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Hamilton, who passed away Dec. 13, 2001; four brothers, David, Joseph, Bill, and Dale Lucas; one infant sister, Polly Ann; and a sister-in-law, Florea E. Lucas.
     Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Pastor Tony Tompkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4:30-9 p.m. Thursday, May 27.
