Pauline Catherine Lehmenkuler, 87, of Hillsboro, Ohio died Friday, January 7, 2011 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
She was born May 10, 1923 in Hardin County, Ky., the daughter of the late Joe Smith and Emma Catherine Howlett Veirs.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Schraw of Hillsboro; six sons, John (Sheila) Lehmenkuler of Blanchester, David (Patty) Lehmenkuler of Mt. Orab, Mark Lehmenkuler of Anderson, Bernard (Theresa) Lehmenkuler of Xenia and Phillip Lehmenkuler of Milford; 18 grandchildren, Kristeen (John) Boaz of West Chester, Catherine (Mike) Perry of Florence, Ky., Karen (Peter) Sower of Ft. Thomas, Ky., Wyatt (Michelle) Lehmenkuler of Columbus, Michelle (Zach) Crawford of Dayton, Jennifer (Jason) Locke of East Gate, Ricky Lehmenkuler of Fayetteville, Kelly (Jim) Lawrence of Cleveland Heights, Ryan Lehmenkuler of Chicago, Andrew Lehmenkuler of Cincinnati, Matthew Lehmenkuler of Xenia, Margaret Lehmenkuler of Xenia, Anthony Lehmenkuler of Xenia, Thomas Lehmenkuler of Xenia, Peter Lehmenkuler of Xenia, Greg (Brandi) Schraw of Columbus, Tyler Schraw of Hillsboro, and Braden Schraw of Hillsboro; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lehmenkuler in 1988; four sons, Steve, Richard, Bill and Thomas Lehmenkuler; one sister, Thelma Montgomery; and one brother, Gene Veirs.
Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hillsboro by Father Michael Paranuik.
Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery in St. Martin (Brown County), Ohio.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
