Norma J. Maher

Norma J. Maher, 82, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehab Center in Wilmington.
 
She was born Sept. 12, 1941 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late William Miller and Lucille Saurine Miller.
 
Norma was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Theresa Hensley; two sons, Robert Maher and John (Joanne) Maher; granddaughter, Amber Williams; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Donald, David and Joe Jeffers; and a sister, Gerry Jeffers.
 
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Earl William Maher, who died Aug. 27, 2021; grandsons, Jeremy and Justin Rosenwirth; two sisters, Martha Rhoades and Alberta Miller; and two brothers, Jimmy and Sam Jeffers.
 
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bernard Weldishofer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
 
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Friday, Dec. 29 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with prayers at 10:45 a.m.
 
Contributions in Norma's memory may be made to the Activity Fund at Wilmington Nursing and Rehab.
