Norma D. Boone, 80, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 29, 2009 at the Woodland Manor in Springfield. 
She was born Feb. 9, 1929 in Russellville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Oren Lee and Marguerite Hollister Edenfield.
Mrs. Boone and her husband George S. Boone had owned and operated Boone’s Carry Out in Hillsboro for over thirty-six years. She had been a member of the Hillsboro Emblem Club and had volunteered at the Highland District Hospital for many years.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Risa Boone of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Randi and Ted Dunevant of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Boone on Sept. 7, 1995; and one brother, Richard Lee Edenfield. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Linnwood Cemetery in Russellville. Friends may call on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Humane Society, P. O. Box 471, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
