Nellie Mae Price, 87, of Williamsburg, formerly of the Hillsboro area, died Monday morning, Aug. 2, 2010 at her daughter’s home.
She was born July 4, 1923, in Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Martha Ann (Wise) Williams.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
She is survived by four children, David Earl Price of Leesburg, Beverly Ann Spivey and her husband Jack of Williamsburg, with whom Mrs. Price made her home, Howard L. Price Jr. (Janice Price) of Hillsboro, and Kenny Price and his wife Pat of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law, as well as many close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Howard Price Sr., who passed away in 1984; and three brothers, John Williams, James Williams and William T. Williams.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Reverend Dan Lamb will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
