Ned H. Durst, 63, of Hillsboro, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati.
Ned was born June 28, 1946 in Dayton, the son of the late Harold and Lorraine (Detro) Durst.
Ned was a license plumber by trade; member of the Hillsboro F.O.E. Aerie # 1161; past president of the Rocky Fork Lake Association; founding member and officer of the Southern Ohio Power Boat Association; and a member of A.P.B.A..
On May 25, 1985, he was united in marriage to Beverly (Smiley) Durst, who survives. He is also survived by son and daughter-in-law John and Melissa Hendricks of Hillsboro; two daughters and son-in-law Kristen and Tim Tuggle of Knoxville, Tenn. and Leanna Grinstead of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Ashle, Tyler, Jessica, Preston, Trent, Trey, Brice and Bailey; one brother, Jack Durst of Medway, Ohio; aunt, Markie Fisher of Hillsboro; a nephew, Curtis Durst of Louisville, Ky.; his beloved pets; Cutting Crew family; Hydroplane Family; River Family; and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Friends may call on Saturday from noon until 3 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
