Nancy Pauline Cox, 84, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025 at home.  
 
She was born on April 11, 1941 in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of John Thomas and Rosabelle (Carter) Nichols.
 
Nancy was a homemaker, school bus driver, and a devout Christian who was known for making blackberry cobblers and enjoyed the beauty of life. She also enjoyed playing piano, guitar and singing.
 
She is survived by two sons, Rick (Eunice) Cox of Altoona, Pa., and A. Leroy Cox of Greenfield; one daughter, Cindi (Ernie) Johnson of Chillicothe; one daughter-in-law, Liz Cox of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren, Kenny, Scott (Terri), and Ricky Hadler, Richard (Tonya), Timothy, Trevor, and Isaiah Cox, Carol (Dave) Hines, Jeremy and Josh (Andrea) Johnson, Melissa Blevins. She was grannie and nana grannie to numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Rose Everhart of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Albert L. Cox, on Sept. 15, 2017; one son, John Cox; one daughter, Barb Baker; one great-grandson, Christian Hadler; one daughter-in-law, Patti Cox; one brother, Albert Nichols; six sisters, Francis Jacobs, Ann Hopkins, Ruth White, Juanita Lord, Alta Cox, Faye Kilburn; both parents; and stepfather, Charlie Whitt.
 
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Cox II officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.  
 
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
