Mildred E. Webb

Mildred E. Webb, 96, of Hillsboro, formerly of Coal Grove, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born April 17, 1913 in Leatherwood, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Electa Jane Keeney. Mrs. Webb was a noted cook and pie baker and was employed in several restaurants in Coal Grove, Ohio. She was a member of the Tri-State Baptist Temple in South Point, Ohio and had been a member of the Leatherwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death on January 27, 1978 by her husband Jerry Webb whom she had married on February 17, 1933. Following Mr. Webb's death she moved to Hillsboro, Ohio to be near her family. She is survived by two daughters, Faye (Joe) Thompson of Hillsboro and Fern Fisher of Sardinia; five grandchildren, Becky (Don) Storer of Hillsboro, Gayla Thompson of Georgetown, Kentucky, Gib (Annette) Thompson of Juneau, Wisconsin, Jerry Johnson of Lexington, Kentucky, and John Fisher of Sardinia, 10 great grandchildren, Heather Storer, Mallory and Callie Thompson, Rachel, Sarah and Nathan Thompson, Kelly Johnson, Kayla Barbour, Mathew and Johnny Fisher, one sister, Edna Ramsey of Huntington, West Virginia and her loving friend and caregiver, Nicole Neville of Hillsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Art Fisher. Services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Jim Beals will officiate. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Leatherwood Cemetery in Lawrence County near Ironton, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
