Mildred D. Hone, 99, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at the Highland House.
She was born July 28, 1910, in Gloversville, New York, a daughter of the late James and Ida (Gloning) Dillenbeck.
She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Highland District Hospital for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Gordon Hone and his wife Lynda of Cincinnati and Warren Hone and his wife Frances of Columbus; and five grandchildren, Gayle J. Hone of Georgetown, Diana R. Hone of Georgetown, Lee Caldwell of Cincinnati, Steve (Brenda) Caldwell of Tallmadge, Ohio and Karyn Owens of Oil Springs, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Howard Hone, in November 1959, and two sisters.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Chuck Shonkwiler will officiate.  Her family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
