Mary Jane Purdin, 87, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at her home.
She was born June 4, 1923 in Rarden, the daughter of the late James Koch and Romey (Ross) Elliott.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Edward R. Purdin of Greenfield; two sons, Joseph (Cheryl) Garvie of Lynchburg and Gary (Pattie) Garvie of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bob (Betty) Koch of Georgia, Paul (Sharon) Elliott, Jr. of Greenfield, Gordon (Jeri) Koch of Greenfield, and Charles (Susan) Koch of Greenfield; three sisters, Helen King of Missouri, Juanita (Bud) Crothers of Sandusky, and Dixie (Jim) Williams of Lynchburg; two brothers-in-law Delbert Purdin of Florida and Glenn Purdin of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Winona Joanne Williams; two sisters, Ruth Koch Stafford and Irene Koch; and a brother, Richard Koch.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Chroninger officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27.
