Mary Frances Case, 87, of Greenfield, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at her residence.
She was born August 15, 1922 in Leesburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leo and Jesse (Foster) McClure.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine (Jack) Pointer of Hillsboro and Evelyn Hunter of Simi Valley, Calif.; three sons, Wayne Thomas (Sharon) Case of Washington C.H., Timothy (Cindy) Case of Leesburg, and Richard (Lisa) Case of South Salem; one son-in-law, Roger Newkirk, of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rowena Pitzer of Leesburg and Evelyn Davidson of Silver City, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by Herschel Thomas Case of March 20, 1993; a daughter, Maurina Newkirk; and a brother, Wayne McClure.
She was a homemaker and a 1940 graduate of Fairfield High School. She was a Sunday school teacher, jr. church director and Sunday school treasurer for many years at the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union in Leesburg, of which she was a member of 71 years.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union in Leesburg with Pastors Robert Carroll and Mike Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union in Leesburg. The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
