Mary Cowman, 89, of Harrison, formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Shawnee Spring Health Care Center in Harrison.
She was born in Cleveland on Dec. 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Batin) Chaky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Cowman, on Dec. 14, 2006; sister and brother-in-law Julia and David Engel; and brother-in-law Bob Neff. 
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Trudy Cowman, Jr., of Woodbury, Minn; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Cowman and Gene Zwolinski of Mohegan Lake, N.Y., Linda and Donald Cramb of Jaffrey, N.H., Nancy and Douglas Rohr of Harrison, Ohio, and Diane and Jeffrey Geaslen of Apple Creek, Ohio; two sisters and brother-in-law, Katie Neff and Irene and Fred Bashore; 12 grandchildren, Rudd Zwolinski, Andrew Cramb, Mary Cramb, Jennifer Cowman, Melissa Cowman, Christina Cowman, Ahleah Rohr, Maxwell Rohr, Joshua Geaslen, Benjamin Geaslen, Daniel Geaslen, Joel Geaslen; and three great grandchildren, Aaron, Seth and Caleb Geaslen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Jeff Geaslen officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. till time of services at 11:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
