Marvin Swayne, 72, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at his residence.  
He was born July 13, 1937 in Locust Grove, the son of the late Russell and Eileen Houchen Swayne.  
He had attended Samantha Free Will Baptist Church.  
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Redoutey Swayne, whom he married Nov. 30, 1958 in Coshocton; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Swayne of Canton and Charles Swayne of Hazlehurst, Ga.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Locust Grove. Visitation will be held, Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service t 1 p.m. at the church.
