Marie Louise Chesnutt Jury, 91, of Kent, formerly of Greenfield, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at the Gardens of Western Reserve in Streetsboro, Ohio.

She was born April 17, 1919 in Oak Park, Ill. to Clarence Walter and Ilma Ellen (George) Chesnutt.

She attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated from Marietta College. She taught history at McClain High School and then at Bolich Junior High School in Cuyahoga Falls. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenfield, United Methodist Church of Kent, Kappa Kappa Gamma National Society, Order of the Eastern Star, Greenfield Education Association, the Cuyahoga Falls Education Association, and Greenfield Village Playmakers.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Walter (Barbara) Jury of Saverna Park, Md.; one daughter, Ellen Lee (John) Colosetti of Kent; one grandson, Douglas Walter (Elizabeth) Jury of Atlanta; step-grandchildren, Isham Colosetti of Atlanta, Ga.; and Kyndra Colosetti of Charleston, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Jury; her parents, Clarence Walter and Ilma Ellen (George) Chesnutt; one brother, Karl George Chesnutt; and one sister, Eleanor Chesnutt Kisthardt.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Jim Groves officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be observed from noon until time of service Oct. 23 at the funeral home.
