Margene Monts de Oca, 82, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at her residence.
She was born Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1927 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fay Gustin and the late Edna McClellan Gustin.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, the D.A.R., Highland County Retired Teachers Association, Highland County Women's Hall of Fame, Jr. Mother's Club, and had retired from the Hillsboro Public School System after 28 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn (Robert) Lowell of Hillsboro and Ann Gard of Hillsboro; and two sons, Jack (Kathy) Monts de Oca of Reynoldsburg and Tony (Angela) Monts de Oca, of Mount Hope, N.C. Other survivors include a niece, Susan Brooks, of Nicholson, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Ronald Gustin, and one sister, JoAnn Gustin.
Friends will be received 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Ohio.
Services will be held following the visitation at 7 p.m. with Tom Napier officiating.
