Linda Lee Taulbee

Linda Lee Taulbee, loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt, passed away at the age of 79, on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born on July 16, 1945, in Waverly, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Mooreland) Murray.

Linda's life was filled with passion, love and an irresistible zest for life which was infectious to all who were fortunate to know her. She was a beautician for 13 years, and she loved traveling with her beloved husband, Roger. Linda enjoyed the simple elegance of dining out at nice restaurants, and she always looked forward to spending a cozy evening at the movies. However, Linda's greatest joy was her family. Her whole demeanor changed when she was with them, a smile of pure contentment on her face. She cherished each moment spent with them, and the love she had for her family was the kind of love that never fades. The world may appear a little less bright without Linda, but her spirit continues to shine in the hearts of those she loved.

Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Roger Taulbee, whom she married on Dec. 30, 1983; two children, Kimberly (Jeff) Hauke of Hillsboro and Donald (Angela) Baldridge of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Blake (Lorin) Kibler of Mowrystown, Jordan Kibler of Lynchburg, Elizabeth (Ben) Burkard of Hillsboro, Ashley (Steve) Dennis of Illinois, Garrett (Christina) Baldridge of Russellville, and Jenna (Hunter) Hice of Lynchburg; 14 great-grandchildren, Weston Kibler, Grayson Kibler, Paxton Kibler, Jayceon Kibler, Jayona Kibler, Micah Kibler, Cameron Burkard, Braydon Burkard, Ashton Burkard, Noah Hauke, Landan Hauke, Logan Hauke, Brielle Dennis and Ella Baldridge; two nephews, Larry Murray and Roger Murray; a niece, Ann Taylor; and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy O’Neill; and four brothers, William Murray, David Murray, Ed Murray and Earl Murray.

Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date and burial will be held in the Mowrystown Cemetery. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.
