Linda Darlene Lakes, 63, of Greenfield, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at her residence. 

She was born Aug. 25, 1946 in Middletown to the late Raymond and Flora Idella (Moyer) Lakes. 

She was a homemaker. She graduated in 1965 from Twin Valley North High School in Lewisburg. 

She is survived by son Michael E. (Dyanna) Mt. Castle Jr. of Greenfield; two daughters, Patricia L. (Donald) Watkins of Greenfield, Carolyn J. (William Jr.) Bowles of Bainbridge; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Myrtle Shepherd of Lewisburg, Idella Brown of Lewisburg, Mary Jan Lakes of Horse Head, N.Y., and Luanna Fairley of Hillsboro; two brothers, Raymond Lakes of Germantown, and Laren Lakes of Lewisburg; special niece Tracy King; special cousin Joyce Gilbert; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Betty Throckmorton, Shirley Holsapple, Carol Rockerforth and Larry Teague. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters. 

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at a later date at Gilboa Cemetery in New Petersburg. 

Calling hours will not be observed. 

The Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
