Lillie Meldick, 94, of Greenfield, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at Edgewood Manor in Greenfield.
She was born April 28, 1915 in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cary and Ida Mae (Wise) Shoemaker.
She was a former employee of the American Pad and Textile Corp. and U.S. Shoe Factory, both of Greenfield, and Acro of Hillsboro. She was a member of Bainbridge Church of Christ.
She is survived by five daughters, Patricia Cross of Greenfield, Eileen (Robert) Hatfield of Bainbridge, Karen (William) Keech of Hillsboro, Rosemary DeBartolo of Clearwater, Fla., and Roberta (Bruce) Von Bargen of Bear, Delaware; one son, K. Edward Meldick of Salem, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; one son; seven sisters; and five brothers.
Private graveside services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the Greenfield Cemetery with Pastor Steve Alexander officiating. There was no visitation observed.
