Larry Joe Nolan, 69, of South Salem, died Friday, May 21, 2010 at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1941 in Greenfield, the son of the late Joseph Howard and Martha Jane (Estep) Nolan.
He retired from Johnson Controls of Greenfield in 2003 after 37 years of service. He had served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Taylor) Nolan, whom he married Dec. 23, 1990; one son, Paul (Jana) Nolan, of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Jennifer (James "Dink") Calhoun of Greenfield, Brandy (Richard) Black of Greenfield, and Aimee (Nick) Fulkerson of Washington C.H.; eight grandchildren, Matt Nolan, Nikki Nolan, Abbey Watson, Brycon Calhoun, Hunter Black, Fisher Black, Brooke Black, and Ashleigh Donohoe; two great-great-grandchildren, Gabe and Cohen Watson; one sister-in-law, Delores Nolan of Hillsboro; and former wife of 24 years, LaVerne Rhoads Hughes, of Milwaukee, Wis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James G. Nolan.
Services will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 28 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Rev. Marland Penwell officiating. A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, with Veterans Appreciation service to begin at 7. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
