Kimberly A. Nichols, 15, of West Union, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman.
Kimberly was born June 24, 1995 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Patrick A. Nichols and Monica Burlett.
Kimberly attended the West Union Junior High School and was a member of the Upper Room Church in West Union.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Anne Belle Nichols of West Union; maternal grandparents William and Beverly Burlett of Hillsboro; uncles and aunts Ryan and Jessica Burlett of Columbus, Jeff and Robin Nichols of Martinsville, Chris and Lori Nichols of Peebles, Kenneth Nichols of West Union, Tempie Stephenson of West Union, and Thelma and David Pavey of Dayton; great uncles and aunts Darrell Oates of Jamestown, N.Y., Jim and Helen Burlett of Dunkirk, N.Y., Mary Ann Metro of Fredonia, N.Y., Deb and George Triana of Huron, and Jim and Judy Oakes of Fredonia, N.Y.; several cousins and a host of friends.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kenneth Nichols, and an aunt, Jeanette Burlett.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Janice Caldwell will officiate with burial in the Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Family requests memorials to any Shriner’s Children Hospital.
