Kevin L. Fouch, 54, of Leesburg, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1955 in Leesburg, the son of the late Leo Bryant and Mildred Irene Smith Fouch.
He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed boating. He had worked for the Leesburg Fairfield School District as Maintenance Supervisor for more than 25 years. Kevin also coached the Fairfield Lady Lions Basketball team from 1991-2006, and those 16 years make him the most tenured coach in Lady Lion History. During his tenure, he was named Southern Hills League Coach of the Year and Southeast District Coach of the Year. As the Lady Lions coach, he holds the record for most wins, most sectional titles, and the only district title in school history in 1994. He also served on Leesburg Village Council from 1997-2007.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kim Wheaton Fouch, whom he married June 4, 1977 in Greenfield; children, Benjamin (Kelli) Fouch, Jacob Fouch and Allyson Fouch; grandchildren, Emma Fouch and Kevin Gabriel Fouch; siblings Kathleen Fouch of Leesburg, Theresa (Eli) Keaton of Cynthiana, Terry (Kristina) Fouch of Greenfield, and Larry (Peggy) Fouch of Hillsboro; and niece Melissa (Randy) Brown, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at the Leesburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Tom Knauff of the Leesburg United Methodist Church and pastor John Fitzgerald of the Leesburg Friends Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Olen Grandle Gymnasium at Leesburg-Fairfield High School. The Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg, is serving the family.
