Kenneth Jay "Ken" Hilliard, 57, of Gibsonville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, Ohio.
He was born Aug. 16, 1952 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Elinor Jane (Strobel) Cornelius of Hillsboro and the late George R. Hilliard.
Ken attended Wilmington College and the University of Cincinnati. He had worked for Ohio Department of Natural Resources, with 23 years of service. He owned and operated Ken's Towing in Rockbridge, Ohio.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Mae "Missy" (Walker) Hilliard of Gibsonville, Ohio; a son, Heath Wyatt Hilliard of Gibsonville, Ohio; a brother, David Alan (Jodi) Hilliard of Hillsboro, Ohio; mother- and father-in-law, Dale and Retha Walker of Logan, Ohio; and nine nieces and nephews, Holly & Hannah Hilliard, Cari (Walker) Stewart, Katie (Walker) Kittle, Johathan Allison, Lyndale Allison, Megan Walker, Angel Schlingerman, and Melissa Nielsen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, with the Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
