June E. Simons

June E. Simons passed away Jan. 10, 2024 in Hillsboro. 

She was born June 13, 1941 in Xenia and was a beloved mother, esteemed banker and devoted family woman.

June lived a life full of love, laughter and dedication. Outside of her career, June's true passion was her family. June's love for her family extended beyond her immediate circle to include countless friends and relatives. She was the heart and soul of family gatherings, effortlessly bringing people together with her infectious laughter and genuine warmth. Whether hosting holiday dinners, planning family vacations or simply enjoying a day in the park, June was the glue that held everyone together.

June touched the lives of so many with her kindness, love and unwavering dedication to her family and career. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.

She was a devoted mother, always there to support her children, Kenneth (Ginger) Beam of Wilmington and Deborah (Larry) Brunck of Hillsboro in all of life's endeavors. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to the love and closeness they shared. June is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Stacey, Jamie Benner, Jesse Stacey, Christine Penewit and Chad L. Beam; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Lewis of Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Veda (Curry) Middleton; husbands, Richard Beam and Ralph Simons; and sister, Ester Kacho. 

Funeral services to honor June's remarkable life will be held at the convenience of the family. Thompson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
