      Juanita Swingley Wallingford, 90, of Hillsboro, died Monday morning, May 24, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton.
      She was born Dec. 19, 1919 in Johnson County, Ky., the daughter of the late Harry and Vessie (Weaver) Holbrook. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Wallingford, on July 2, 1977; one sister, Moncia Holbrook; and three brothers, Buford Holbrook, James Holbrook and Herbert Holbrook.
      Juanita was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, where she taught children's class. Juanita and James farmed until they purchased the grocery store in Dodsonville in 1964, where they operated the Wallingford Grocery Store until 1978.
      On June 22, 1996, she was united in marriage to Robert D. Swingley, who survives. She is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles L. and Victoria C. Wallingford of Kettering and Donald G. and Linda L. Wallingford of Lebanon; two stepsons and daughter-in-law, Dale and Jan Swingley of Loveland and Bobby Swingley of Loveland; two step-daughters, Sandy Sonner of Hillsboro and Dottie Swingley of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Lorren D. Wallingford of Lebanon, Kara D. Wallingford of Lebanon, Brian Scott Wallingford of Beaver Creek,  and Janel Renae Wallingford of Ketterin;  three great-grandchildren, Spencer C. Wallingford, Lindsay N. Wallingford and Keegan L. Wallingford; three brothers, Virgil Holbrook of Grove City, Delbert (Ellen) Holbrook of Circleville, and Hobart Holbrook of Chillicothe; two sisters, Freda Lindsey of Circleville and Mary Contner of Bellefontaine; and two sisters-in-law, Verna Holbrook of Circleville and Mary Holbrook of Circleville.
      Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. 
      Pastor Tom Zile and Rev. Curtis Randolph will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. 
      Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. 
      The Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
