John W. Cummings, Jr.

John W. Cummings, Jr., 60, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Covington, Ky. on Oct. 14, 1948, the son of the late John W. and Margaret F. (Clayton) Cummings, Sr.
John was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, retired from Cincinnati Bell, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, calf roping, heading and heeling. John was a Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton J. and Lisa Cummings and Joseph and Heather Cummings, all  of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Cade, Wyatt, Jolee, and Paige Cummings, all of Hillsboro; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kathy Cummings of White Fish, Mont.; and one sister, Cindy Homan of Batavia.
Memorial mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Owensville, Ohio, with Father Mike Paraniuk officiating.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. till service time at 11 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church.
Gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at the residence of Clint and Lisa Cummings.
Memorials may be made to your favorite charity in John's memory.
