John R. Musser, 75, of Hillsboro, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 3, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 9, 1935 in West Union, the son of the late John E. and Mary Helen Drake Musser.
Mr. Musser had worked for several years for the RobertShaw Corporation, later working for the Hillsboro Manufacturing Company and the Town & Country Department Store. He was a Golden Eagle member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161, a member of the AmVets Post #61, and had been a member of the Highland County Coonhunters.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cannady Musser, whom he had married on Aug. 15, 1993; one daughter, Diane (Bob) Seeling of Hillsboro; one son, Richard Dale Musser of Piketon; three grandchildren, Kirk (Stephenie) Seeling, Kyle (Jennifer) Seeling and Triston Musser; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Hunter Seeling; one brother, Ronald Lee (Libby) Musser of Hillsboro; and three sisters, Anna Louise (John Richard) Douglas of Hillsboro, Barbara Shelton of Hillsboro and Joyce Creech of Hillsboro.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Janie Shoemaker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Hillsboro Eagles Lodge will conduct memorial services at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
